The Beatles-White Album (1968)

In 1968, The Beatles reached their peak with their double album "The Beatles", often popularly referred to as the "White Album". On this new album, the Fab Four returned to basics, moving away from the psychedelic music and complexities of their previous and monumental "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band". Starting with its minimalist cover, this album features the rawest rock they ever recorded, "Helter Skelter", considered by many to be the seed of modern heavy metal. Furthermore, it boasts a dazzling array of styles, ranging from rock and roll to country, jazz, avant-garde, progressive rock, pop, experimental, and hard rock. With such iconic songs as “Back In the USSR”, “Wild Honey Pie”, “Happiness Is A Warm Gun”, “Sexy Sadie”, “While My Guitar Gently Weeps”, “Blackbird”, “Long Long Long”, “Revolution”, “Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da”, “Rocky Raccoon”, “Julia” or “Martha My Dear”, The Beatles demonstrated that even near the end of their career, they were capable of producing a large number of brilliant, catchy and consistent songs and wrapping them all up in a single work, which is one of the masterpieces of rock music of all time.
