Roger Waters-Amused To Death (1992)

Two years after the gigantic concert offered at Potsdamer Platz in Berlin and called "The Wall-Live in Berlin", Roger Waters re-enters the studios to record his third solo album.
For this Waters had left several earlier the EMI record company, to sign a succulent contract with Columbia Records, who would be in charge of publishing this "Amused To Death"
For many this is undoubtedly his best work, and as usual in the former Pink Floyd bassist, it is a concept album, where he satirizes recurring themes such as wars and consumer society, in the latter case through the idea of a monkey watching a television and drawing conclusions from it, showing human stupidity from an ironic point of view.
It is precisely because of this theme that this album fits perfectly in a trilogy with the Pink Floyd albums "The Wall" and "The Final Cut".
And to a certain extent this album is at the level of those other two magnificent works, both in its compositional level and in its excellent production.
In addition to superb music, with lyrics (as usual in Waters) very deep and moving.
