Billy Joel-52nd Street (1978)

Billy Joel is one of the great rock legends, he has achieved fifty hits, many of them numbers one, winner of the Grammy on six occasions and one of the most sold artists of records with close to 100 million worldwide.
In 1977 he had released his album "The Stranger" that would place him at the top of the charts with a sweeping album with songs like "Just The Way You Are", "She's Always A Woman", "Only The Good Die Young" or "Moving Out", making it the best-selling album by the Columbia record company in its entire history with more than ten million copies in the United States alone.
After the success of this overwhelming work Joel returns to repeat the same producer of the previous album Phil Ramone, to produce an album even more melodic and dynamic than the previous one, adding different elements such as jazz.
The result would be a sensational album, full of choruses, great melodies and memorable compositions.
Tracks like the catchy "My Life", the dancing "Half A Mile Away", the rock "Big Shot" or the terribly melancholic "Honesty" took Joel to the top again, making him the artist of the year.
"52nd Street" would become another masterpiece by a musician who already had a devastating and impressive record label behind him.
