In the mid-eighties George Michael triumphed in the charts of half the world thanks to the duo "Wham" with Andrew Ridgeley, among other resounding successes, the ballad "Careless Whisper" became a hit and the album "Make It Big "(1984) won six platinum records for sales in the United States alone and several more in the United Kingdom.
Three years later George Michael publishes his first and controversial debut as a soloist with the album "Faith", his first single "I Want Your Sex" was censored by the most reactionary sectors claiming that it incited promiscuous behavior in the middle of the AIDS era.
However, this controversy would serve George Michael to reach the top positions in the charts thanks to the other great compositions that were included in it, such as the ballads "One More Try" and "Kissing a Fool" or the sensual "Father Figure" and "Monkey".
The album is a perfect amalgamation of styles ranging from R&B to jazz, through soul and pop.
"Faith" would win the Grammy cousin for best album and sell a whopping more than 23 million copies worldwide.
