Although their journey was relatively brief, The Police managed in just five years to become one of the leading bands of new wave and pop-rock, thanks to their intense musical activity and enormous success on charts around the world. The Police's debut album, "Outlandos d'Amour", arrived in the late seventies, a timeless work that served as a clear statement of intent from the trio of Sting (bass and vocals), Andy Summers (guitars), and Stewart Copeland (drums). This first album is a collection of songs that showcase the personality of each member, encompassing reggae sounds in "Roxanne", carefree new wave in "Can't Stand Losing You", angry and catchy punk rock in "Next To You" and "Peanuts", and energetic rock tracks like "So Lonely". Although the album initially went completely unnoticed, it would eventually become a contemporary classic, achieving great success on the charts with impressive sales of 9 million copies worldwide.

The Police-Synchronicity (1983)
After the complicated and experimental "Ghost In The Machine", The Police released their most successful album "Synchronicity" in 1983, an album where internal problems began to surface among the members of the band.
Here one of the characteristics of the group disappears, such as its reggae elements, however they retain the ambitious proposal of their previous work.
Four songs like "Every Breath You Take", "Synchronicity", "King Of Pain" and "Wrapped Around Your Finger" proved by themselves that even the band had enough arguments to make a great album.
From here on, the band would practically disappear, each of its members concentrating on their solo careers.

The Police-Reggatta De Blanc (1979)
For a few years The Police were cataloged as the greatest band on the planet, exaggerated or not, their popularity levels were so great that there was some truth to it.
With a proposal where the predominant punk of the time, seasoned with rock, reggae sparkles and pop influenced by the new wave, the trio had an intense activity, getting to have their works as the most acclaimed among the public and critics.
"Reggatta de Blanc" was their second work in which the group would add more elements to their particular style, since it is very varied due to the tastes and personalities of each of its members.
Excellent songs such as "Walking On The Moon" or the successful "Message in A Bottle" with that new wave touch, confirmed that this band was very big, although with little tour according to the ego of its components.
