Carole King-Tapestry (1971)

Carole King was already a famed songwriter of hits for other artists when she published her masterpiece "Tapestry" in 1971.
During the 60s Carole King together with her husband and also composer Gerry Goffin composed innumerable hits for other artists such as Bobby Vee, The Monkees, The Drifters, Aretha Franklin or James Taylor among many others.
However, when he launched into his solo career, he went unnoticed with his first album "The Writer" of little fortune, and it would not be with his next album "Tapestry" when he would know the honeys of success with more than 25 million copies sold what gives an idea of ​​the quality of this superb album.
For this second work, Carole would recover three of the songs that she had given to other artists such as "Will You Love Me Tomorrow" that The Shirelles song, "(You Make me Feel) Like a Natural Woman", which was a hit on the voice of Aretha Franklin and "You're Got A friend" which was a number one sung by James Taylor.
All these jewels and other new compositions such as "It's Too Late" or "Feel The Earth Move", elevated an album that would become an indisputable masterpiece of singer-songwriter music.
