Jethro Tull-Too Old To Rock´n´Roll; Too Young To Die! (1976)

"Too Old To Rock´n´Roll; Too Young To Die!" It was Jethro Tull's eighth album, another complex story from the mind of its leader, the charismatic Ian Anderson.
This time the concept revolves around the life of Ray Lomas, a rocker who sees how he is aging little by little and who for many was Anderson's own ironic response to the criticisms made by his previous works.
Musically in this new album Anderson recovers the melodic and folkie character without neglecting the symphonies that he had lost in his immediately previous works that were more pompous and overloaded.
In this you can see some magnificent orchestral arrangements by David Palmer that are especially relevant in songs like "From a Deadbeat To An Old Greaser" and in which he gives the album title.
An album where acoustic guitars stand out, over electric guitars, so Martin Barre loses a bit of prominence, although without leaving us short but intense riffs and solos in some of the songs on the album.
Despite not being one of Jethro Tull's capital works, it is a highly considered work and to a certain extent a transitional album that perfectly combines the band's style.
