For many this is the first official album of progressive rock in history, although it is true that months before other albums that contained the seeds of the genre had already been published.
King Crimson are without a doubt the best example that exemplifies progressive rock, basically because of their enormous willingness to change the parameters of rock, let's say normal, and their constant search for new inspirational formulas.
Here the talent of Robert Fripp is added to the vocal sensitivity of Greg Lake, who together with the lyrics of Peter Sinfield on songs like the superb "21st Century Schizoid Man" or the evocative "I Talk To The Wind", the latter with a few Beautiful passages of keyboards and flute make up why it is an absolute work of the progressive.
The album contains other memorable moments such as the tremendous "Epitaph" with a superb Lake on vocals, or "The Court Of the Crimson King" with impeccable and amazing work by Fripp and Ian McDonald that together with Lake leave us a jewel worthy of the biggest progressive rock band in history.
