Johnny Rivers is one of the legendary rock and roll musicians for his incomparable and unmistakable style, pioneer in the rise of live albums and giving the true importance to the musicians who accompanied him live, making them noticeable on the covers of his albums.
This American guitarist, composer, and producer, born in 1942, began to perform at 14 years of age and a few years later he was a regular at the legendary venue "Whiskey a Go Go" in Los Angeles, where he recorded several albums in direct.
One of them was this "John Lee Hooker At Whiskey a Go Go" recorded in 1967, and published in 1969, where Johnny Rivers performs covers of mythical themes of the time such as "Sunny", "I Can´t Get No Satisfaction", "Got My Mojo Workin´" or "CC Ryder", or the fantastic "Ode to John Lee / Satisfaction", an atypical jam of the best blues.
Johnny Rivers won 16 gold records and won two Grammy Awards throughout his career and although today he is a musician forgotten by the new generations, his legacy is unquestionable as one of the greatest rock has given.
