Justin Hayward & John Lodge-"Blue Jays" (1975)

In 1975 The Moody Blues had not published any album for three years, in fact their last had been "Seventh Sojourn" (1972) and they would not publish anything new until three years later with "Octave" (1978).
The main reason had been the exhaustion of the members after so many years publishing albums and the constant world tours that the band had done in six consecutive years.
But nevertheless that did not mean that its separate members were also far removed from the world of music, and thus its guitarist and maximum composer of the band Justin Hayward along with bassist John Lodge, published that same year of 1975 the album "Blue Jays".
Both musicians left for later one of the most beautiful works that are remembered, with great vocal harmonies, a simple but very effective instrumental accompaniment, rich melodies and exciting compositions that partly remind us of how it could not be otherwise in their own way mother band.
A memorable album that contains extraordinary songs like melodic "Remember Me, My Friend", the melancholic "Night Winters Years", or the extraordinary "Blue Guitar", considered one of the most beautiful songs ever composed.
The latter released as a promotional single that would not appear on the final album until its reissue years later, and which was recorded with the full line-up of the mythical band 10CC.
