For many years this was the only official testimony of a Genesis live recording with Peter Gabriel on vocals, although it is true that many bootlegs circulated at that time, most of them with poor sound quality.
Therefore for the most staunch fans of the band this was one of their favorite albums, being able to hear how the band developed in those years live.
Recorded during the tour of the album "Foxtrot" contains material recorded during a concert in Leicester on February 25, 1973, with the exception of the song "The Return of the Giant Hogweed" which was recorded the day before.
Curiously, what until then was the top piece of the group "Supper's Ready" was not included, apparently due to the little interest that the band had in the United States at that time.
Also the fact that including said suite would have caused the editing of a double album, something that was discarded and released as a simple album at a low cost price in order to attract the public and increase sales.
However, there was a limited edition of double format only published in Holland by the Philips label where "Supper's Ready" was included, which today is highly valued.
Another characteristic of this album is that it obviates the stories told by Peter Gabriel between songs, some stories that served for the singer to explain the signs of the songs to sing.
The album contains powerful versions of "Get'em Out by Friday" and "The Return of the Giant Hogweed", in addition to the initial "Watcher Of the Skies" with a hypnotic entrance, the dramatic and aggressive "The Musical Box", but however, it is the version of "The Knife", with a slight change in lyrics, which gets all the prominence from this live album.
