Motorhead-No Sleep´til Hammersmith (1981)

In the early eighties, Motörhead had five spectacular albums of powerful and visceral heavy metal, seasoned with punk sounds, which confirmed them as one of the most forceful and raw bands on the world heavy metal scene.
Albums like their self-titled debut, "Motörhead," and subsequent releases like "Overkill", "Bomber", and "Ace of Spades", had topped the charts and were at the forefront of the genre.
"No Sleep 'til Hammersmith" was recorded on the tour following "Ace of Spades", and contrary to what its title suggests, it wasn't recorded at the legendary Hammersmith in London, but rather at Queen's Hall in Leeds.
In this corrosive and incendiary live performance, the band unleashes its full arsenal with iconic tracks like “Bomber”, “No Class”, “Overkill”, “Stay Clean”, “The Hammer”, and “Ace of Spades”, all featuring that dense, frenetic rhythm with allusions to war and the Wild West. The album surprisingly reached number one on the British charts and went gold for its enormous sales.
