In 2018, a tribute was published to the late Chris Squire, acclaimed bassist, songwriter and vocalist, who was the only Yes member present in their entire extensive discography.
This tribute was produced and directed by the one who personally would be chosen by Chris himself to replace him in Yes, the multi-instrumentalist Billy Sherwood. This one, along with his partner in World Trade and also current member of Yes, drummer Jay Schelen, make up the instrumental base of the ten songs on this album together with great prog rock musicians.
Tracks like "On the silent wings of freedom" from the album "Tormato" where the good work of Sherwood and Schelen stands out as well as the former Yes keyboardist in "Relayer"; Patrick Moraz, transmuting Rick Wakeman's original solos, "Parallels" with an exultant Tony Kaye on keyboards, "Hold Out Your Hand" with Steve Hogarth respectfully facing a legendary song like this, or other interesting contributions of female voices such as that of Nikki Squire, Chris's first wife and leader of the Esquire group in the nineties who seems very comfortable singing "Owner of a lonely heart", along with the guitar of Dweezil Zappa or Ritchie Blackmore's wife, Candice Night, who is delivered on "Don't kill the whale" or the wonderful Annie Haslam who does the same on "Onward", with new arrangements by Sherwood.
The tribute is complemented by two bonus tracks featuring Chris Squire: Technical Divide and Comfortable Numb.
