In December 1971 during a concert at the Rainbow Theater in London, a spectator jumps on stage and punches and pushes Frank Zappa with his back to the orchestra pit.
Zappa is immediately taken to the hospital with a fracture in his right leg and multiple blows to the ribs.
It remains inactive in a wheelchair for almost a year, in addition to the sequels being mainly a lower tone of voice.
During all that time Zappa is dedicated to composing what would later be The Grand Wazoo.
A very high level work with very jazz and rock patterns following the pattern started in Hot Rats but with a more jazzy orientation.
