Triumph have always been considered the eternal seconds behind the all-powerful Rush, and simple have come out as losers before the band led by Lifeson, Lee and Peart.
However, it is an injustice to compare them with such an example, since Triumphi have always moved by different styles quite far away and without a doubt their musical facet are the best that Canadian rock has given.
Allied Forces released in 1981 is the fifth album by this great band and considered the best work of the group.
An album that contains the perfect hard rock skills along with its melodic side.
A masterful album where coherence and efficiency transforms it into a masterful album, with a great Hard Rock and AOR result.
Powerful themes like Fool For You Love or Allied Forces, beauties like Magic Power or Say Goodbye are a great example of all this.
But they even flirt with the progressive rock so present in Fight The Good Fight and Ordinary Man, while songs like Petitude Etude show an Emmett with his great talent on six strings.
In short, an album where versatility and genius left us a complete album of great quality.
