Slide it In (1984) would be the sixth work of Whitesnake, an album as great as controversial, and it is that Slide It In contains two editions, one European produced by Martin Birch, and another American remixed by Keith Olsen. The differences are quite remarkable, including different order in the songs, a sound suited to American tastes, participation of other musicians and additional guitar tracks by Coverdale's new spoiled child: John Sykes.
Although the American edition was more successful, it is the original, the English edition, which highlights the virtues of the band much better until that moment. "Slide It In", "Standing In The Shadow", "Guilty Of Love" or "Love Ain't No Stranger" are several of his best compositions.
