Chris Spheeris & Paul Voudouris-"Enchantment" (1990)

In 1990 the North American musicians of Greek descent Chris Spheeris and Paul Voudouris published their fifth album, "Enchantment" which was an unprecedented milestone in "new age" music, even selling hundreds of thousands of copies, something unusual in this musical genre.
Since the end of the seventies this duo had been publishing with some frequency records oriented to folk vocal with touches of pop, "Spheeris and Voudouris" (1978) or "Points of View" (1980), or records oriented to music "new wave" as "Primal Trech Music" from 1982.
But after some years where each musician would dedicate themselves to their solo careers, at the end of the eighties they reunited, and composed and recorded this "Enchantment", which would end up becoming one of the top works of the so-called new musics.
An album that exudes great melodies, mysticism, warmth and Mediterranean sounds, where musicians explore different styles mixing sounds from different countries with instruments such as Mediterranean guitars, oboes, clarinets or saxophones.
