In a Silent Way is considered Miles Davis' first jazz fusion album and ultimately one of his most influential albums within the jazz rock genre.
Each of the pieces that make up this work is made up of three parts, an exhibition, a development and a recapitulation identical to the musical structure of classical sonatas.
