Birth Control-"Live" (1974)

By the time Birth Control released this double live in 1974, they had four albums within the krautrock genre behind them.
Founded in the late sixties they took this controversial name in response to Pope Paul VI on contraceptives.
Already in 1970 they published their first album "Birth Control" with which the band begins to be known throughout Europe, the following "Operation" and "Hoodoo Man" (both with very controversial covers) are their two best works where their most emblematic song "Gamma Ray".
"Live" contains only five songs, all of them long, starting with the aforementioned "Gamma Ray" that exceeds 20 minutes, or "The Work Is Done" with almost 17 minutes.
In general, it is a live show where we can appreciate the surround sound of the Hammond keyboard, with a fascinating and heavy sound at the same time, blues rock played in an incredible way, acid and psychedelic guitars, and a portentous voice like that of his Bernd Noske drummer.
A group and an album that made history within the panorama of progressive rock in general and krautrock in particular.
