In 1994 Mike Rutherford would reunite his band Mike and The Mechanics to record their fourth album "Beggar On A Beach Of Gold".
In this new work, both Paul Carrack and Paul Young would take more prominence when composing within the group, thus giving the image of a true band and not of Mike Rutheford's solo project.
Conceived based on the materialism that characterized the eighties, the album was published in 1995, obtaining an acceptable worldwide success with several million copies sold.
In addition to the wonderful versions of Smokey Robinson "You´ve Really Got a Hold on Me" and that of Stevie Wonder "I Believe (When I Fall In Love it Will Be Forever", the single "Over My Shoulder" the hypnotic and bewitching "Mea Culpa" or the tremendously addictive "Another Cup Of Coffee".
