Point Blank were an American rock band with touches of southern rock and boogie rock that was founded in the mid-70s and had a brilliant career that lasted until 1982, later returning sporadically to release some more albums from the year 2006.
"The Hard Way" is the band's fourth album published in 1980, and in it the band shows all its power with those double guitar riffs, a restrained fury, good southern rock and the voice of its singer O'Daniel that they gave a characteristic seal to the group.
From the initial and melodic "On The Run", through the boogie rock "Point Blank", the blues "Wrong To Cry / Thank You Mama", or the excellent version of the Purple "Highway Star", the album had a good well received on FM stations and on the AOR charts in the United States.
