When Def Leppard published "Adrenalize" in 1992, part of the press accused them of being continuists for considering that they used the identical formulas to the previous "Hysteria".
However, this was not the only handicap with which the band would find itself, at that time grunge and alternative rock swept musical tastes, to the detriment of the bands that years before had taken over the lists and the preferences of the public.
Still "Adrenalize" would climb to number one in both the UK and the US, scoring 15 platinum records for global sales.
Musically the album certainly presents a sound very much in the vein of the previous album with energetic songs like "Let's Get Rocked", "Make Love Like a Man", or sweet ballads like "Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad" or "Tonight", and half times like the great "Stand Up (Kick Love Into Motion)".
