HSAS-Through The Fire (1984)

Almost in the mid-eighties, Journey's guitarist Neal Schon joins fellow guitarist and singer Sammy Hagar to work on a new project, one away from his band and the other from his solo career.
After recruiting the drummer Michael Shrieve who had worked with bands like Santana or Trapeze and the bassist Kenny Aaroson ex Rick Derringer Band, they complemented a group that they named using the initials of the surnames of all its components; HSAS.
After some time writing and rehearsing new songs, they perform on several occasions in San Francisco, recording those records for later publication.
Finally Geffen Records would be responsible for publishing said material but with subtle tweaks eliminated the ambient sound to make it look like a studio album.
Such an outrage was not an impediment for "Through The Fire" to be considered a great album with a title as appropriate as it is significant.
The monolithic riff of the commercial "Top of the Rock" the AOR "Missing You", the zeppelin  "Animation" or "Valley of the Kinks" or the galloping "My Home Town" put the finishing touch to a masterful album that has unnoticed past despite the unquestionable quality of it and its components.
