Sweet are an institution in the Great Britain, their powerful glam rock flooded the charts in the early seventies recording some of the most historic moments of British rock such as the classic and mythical songs "The Ballroom Blitz" or "Block Buster".
"Off the Record" would be Sweet's fifth album, released in 1977, a time when the band's decline was already in sight.
Against all odds this was one of their most emblematic albums, recorded based on very hard melodies close to hard rock, but with large doses of glam rock.
Powerful songs like "Lost Angels", "Midnight to Daylight", or "She Gimme Lovin´" reflected a group that despite the fact that their great moment of glory had already passed, they still maintained the momentum and creativity necessary to create a great album and leave a legacy that would later be imitated by the pop metal bands of the eighties.
