Rush-A Farewell To Kings (1977)

A year after their incredible album "2112", Rush continue on their triumphant path releasing "A Farewell To Kings" which opens the second leg of the group.
This new stage was characterized by being the most progressive of the group's extensive career, however it did not come surprisingly, since in his previous work the progressive sounds were present, although it is here that Rush acquires full maturity.
The compositions become much more pretentious, with a symphonic trend and greater refinement, with a greater variety in the use of acoustic guitars and more complexity in electrics, a greater role in percussion and the presence of synthesizers that add textures. and melodic and sophisticated environments.
Here also appears the first song to be released as a single, "Closer To The Heart" which becomes very popular immediately.
The rest is as spectacular as it is sober with jewels like "Xanadu" where the band demonstrates its amazing virtuosity, the rocker "Cinderella Man", the sensitive "Madrigal" or the superb "Cygnus X-!".
Although the best would be to come in the following works, this would be next to "2112", the cornerstones of some of his masterpieces that would soon arrive.
