Loggins and Messina-On Stage (1974)

A series of events were decisive for the formation of Loggins & Messina, one of the most historic groups in North American music that with just eight albums sold over 20 million copies in the United States alone.
Kenny Loggins came from the Gator Creek and had collaborated assiduously with the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, in addition to having been a member of the Electric Prunes during several tours, Jim Messina was one of the members of Poco.
It would be during the year 1971 when the two met in a recording studio in Los Angeles, and they entered into a good relationship that would end by joining and forming the duo Loggins and Messina.
Several years later, they published their third work entitled "Full Sail" (1974), which obtained a dazzling success and later made a spectacular and successful tour of the United States.
"On Stage" was released that same year and is a marvelous live show containing all of the group's best tracks and most of all an exciting 20-minute version of "Vahevala", which were excerpted from the concerts given at Carnegie Hall in New York in 1973, at the Orpheum Theater in Boston the same year and in Winterland San Francisco in 1972 where the group showed a spectacular live show with contributions from rock, country and folk.
This double album has passed as one of the great exponents of North American music and considered one of the best live shows in history.
