Scorpions-Lovedrive (1979)

"Loverdrive" is one of the most balanced German Scorpions albums they have ever recorded, released in 1979, it is the only one with three guitarists in the recording sessions, Michael Schenker, Rudolf Schenker and newcomer Matthias Jabs.
This album was preceded by "Taken by Force", the last album where Uli Jon Roth had participated as a solo guitar and the first album by drummer Herman Rarebell.
"Loverdrive" is a work that moves subtly between hard rock and melodic heavy metal, with impressive guitar exercises such as "Loving You Sunday Morning" or the fast-paced "Another Piece Of Meat", in addition to the band's eclecticism this demonstrated with reggae "Is There Anybody There?", the progressive "Coast to Coast" or the hypnotic ballad "Holiday".
This album would be a point and apart within the career of Scorpions, since it came in one of the most committed moments of the group with the departure of its leader Uli Jon Roth, which would lead to a more eclectic and unmistakable sound change.
