Todd Rundgren - Something / Anything? (1972)

Todd Rundgren is one of the great musical geniuses of the 20th century, composer, guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, producer and engineer, a tireless musician who has always experienced different recording techniques, always having at his disposal all the latest technology for both his recordings and for many for other artists where I would participate.
From his beginnings with the band Nazz, he would demonstrate admirable intelligence, intensity and creativity, which he would demonstrate both in his solo work and in his band Utopia.
In 1972 he released his masterpiece "Something / Anything?'", a double album where Rundgren explores a wide range of sounds that take a tour of the different styles of rock.
Divided into four parts, on the first three Rundgren albums, it is responsible for playing all the instruments, where compositions such as "I Saw The Light", the melodic "One More Day (No World)", the visceral "Little Red Lights ", the rocker" Black Maria ", the wonderful" Torch Song "or the version of the anthology" Hello It's me "that had been recorded some time ago by their band Nazz.
Rundgren like other great producers like Phil Spector or Brian Wilson uses the recording studio as one more instrument, thus giving meaning to his particular "Sounds of the Studio".
The four Rundgren album is accompanied by a band with compositions where he reveals his musical roots with beautiful melodies such as "Dust in the Wind" or powerful rocks such as "Some Folks is Even Whiter than Me"
