Echo And The Bunnymen- Ocean Rain (1984)

Echo and the Bunnymen are one of the essential bands of the British post-punk sound of the 1980s. Despite being overshadowed by other contemporaries, they achieved cult status thanks to a series of emblematic albums within the genre. "Ocean Rain", their fourth full-length album, marked the definitive breakthrough for Echo and the Bunnymen, an album that moved away from the dark sound of post-punk towards a more melodic style closer to pop-rock and romantic epics. The album contains luminous melodies like "Silver", "Crystal Days", and "Seven Seas", which contrast with the epic "Nocturnal Me", "Ocean Rain", and "The Killing Moon", while "Thom of Crows" is a nod to the band's darker past.
