Here we have another formidable album of the best dark psychedelic hard rock & blues from the early 70s. It was recorded by another of those short-lived bands that flood this blog, called Bolder Damn, who hailed from Florida and consisted of bassist Ron Reffett, drummer Bob Eaton, and guitarists Glenn Eaton and John Anderson. Released on the independent label Hit Records in a limited run of 200 copies, their only album, "Mourning", was released in 1971. On this album, the quartet showcased musical inclinations closely related to other bands of the era such as Grand Funk Railroad and Steppenwolf. The fuzz guitar riffs, vocal harmonies, and intense rhythm are the common denominator of an album with a relentless and powerful proto-heavy rock-blues sound.
