Can-Flow Motion (1976)

After nine magnificent albums, some of which are fundamental to the progressive rock genre and krautrock in particular, the German band Can released their tenth album, "Flow Motion", a captivating, intense, and meticulously crafted work with mischievous reggae and funk rhythms and generous doses of rock. From the climactic title track with its seemingly endless guitar solo, to the commercially successful "I Want More", and including the psychedelic reggae "Cascade Waltz", the heavy "Smoke EFS No", and the funky "Babylonian Pearl", Can once again created a solid and fluid work. And while it's true that they moved away from the experimentation and avant-garde of their earlier work, this new release remains a key piece in their extensive discography.
