Flaming Youth-Ark 2 (1969)

With just one album, the British band Flaming Youth established themselves as one of the most innovative groups of the late 1960s. That album, titled "Ark 2", was one of the most exquisite records of that era, driven by a powerful organ, a psychedelic, bouncy guitar, and catchy vocal lines that created a rich, atmospheric sound. Flaming Youth consisted of organist Brian Chatton, drummer Phil Collins, lead guitarist Gordon Smith, and bassist Ronnie Caryl, all between the ages of 17 and 19. "Ark 2" (1969) was one of the most interesting works in the avant-garde pop-rock of that year, and this short-lived group would never again achieve the same level of success. Some time later, Phil Collins joined the progressive rock band Genesis, replacing drummer John Mayhew, thus beginning one of the most impressive careers in rock music.
