Steve Lukather-I Found The Sun Again (2021)

During the latter part of the 1970s and throughout the following decade, Steve Lukather led one of the most formidable bands in American rock: Toto. This band has left behind some of the most outstanding and successful albums in the melodic rock genre. At the end of the 1980s, the guitarist finally decided to launch his solo career, beginning in 1989 with his self-titled debut. In the following years, he continued to balance his solo career with Toto, sporadically releasing a series of acclaimed albums. "I Found The Sun Again" is his eighth solo album, featuring guest appearances from some of his Toto bandmates, such as David Paich and Joseph Williams, as well as other prominent musicians like former Beatle Ringo Starr, Gregg Bissonette, and John Pierce. Comprising a series of tracks divided between covers and original compositions, Steve Lukather showcases his virtuosity with the six strings, displaying all his guitar feeling in the attractive covers of "The Low Spark High Heeled Boys" by Traffic, "Welcome to The Club" by Joe Walsh and "Bridge of Sighs" by Robin Trower, while among his own songs the brilliant "Along For The Ride", "Won't Get Fooled Again", "Serpent Soul" and "Journey Through" stand out.
