The Byrds-The Notorious Byrd Brothers (1968)

Almost as influential as The Beatles, The Byrds are one of the greatest bands in the history of rock music, responsible for blending their country's traditional folk with the pop music arriving from Great Britain and laying the foundations for psychedelic music and country rock. Composed of five of the greatest musicians who ever lived Gene Clark, David Crosby, Roger McGuinn, Michael Clarke, and Chris Hillman they even influenced the Fab Four and Bob Dylan, among many others. As pioneers and creators of psychedelia, they left us undeniable masterpieces such as the albums "Mr. Tambourine Man", "Sweetheart of the Rodeo", "Fifth Dimension", "Younger Than Yesterday", "Turn! Turn! Turn!" and "The Notorious Byrd Brothers". Focusing on this last album, the Byrds managed to create their most diverse and mature work, blending folk rock, country rock, psychedelia, and jazz to create a superb record that is as seductive as it is astonishing. On this album, they incorporated elements that had not appeared in their previous compositions, such as keyboards, giving their music a broader sonic palette. Songs like "Natural Harmony", "Get To You", "Tribal Gathering", "Goin' Back", "Dolphin's Smile" and "Old John Robertson" have become classics of 20th-century contemporary music.
