"Bad Animals" is the worthy successor to the acclaimed self-titled album released in 1985 by the American band Heart. This ninth release also topped the charts thanks to the hits "Alone" and "Who Will You Run To". However, the group led by the Wilson sisters doesn't surpass its predecessor in creativity, despite producing a near-perfect album. The catchy vocals, impressive production, and the solidity of a formidable band particularly guitarist Howard Leese and drummer Denny Carmassi more than fulfilled the expectations placed upon it before its release. Groundbreaking melodic rock songs like the aforementioned "Alone" and "Who Will You Run To" are supported by other high-caliber tracks such as "There's The Girl", "I Want You So Bad", and the title track, propelling it to an incredible number two on the Billboard charts, with over three million copies sold worldwide.
