Bonham-Mad Hatter (1992)

Jason Bonham is the son of the late, legendary Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham. He followed in his father's footsteps and, over time, built a great reputation as one of the best percussionists of the late 20th century. Despite his innate talent, his surname has unfairly held him back on more than one occasion. In recent years, Jason has filled in for his father on several occasions when the legendary band has reunited sporadically, including the famous concert at London's O2 Arena in 2007. Years earlier, Jason had formed his own band, releasing two excellent albums that showcased his obvious Zeppelin heritage. The first of these was 1989's "The Disregard of Timekeeping", which was very well received thanks to songs like "Wait for You", "Guilty", and "Bringing Me Down". Three years later, at the height of the grunge explosion, their second and final album, "Mad Hatter", was released. It was another brilliant display of their Zeppelin and hard rock influences, though it received less media attention. Both this album and its predecessor showcased the powerful riffs of guitarist Ian Hatton, the vocal talent of Daniel McMaster, and the technical virtuosity of Jason Bonham's powerful drumming. Tracks like the instrumental "Los Locos", and the raw hard rock anthems "The Storm", "Bing", "Ride On A Dream", "Secrets", and "Hold On" deserved far more recognition and attention than they received.
