Grand Funk Railroad-We're An American Band (1973)

We're An American Band is the definitive work of Grand Funk Railroad, not only for the quality of its enormous compositions, but also for the great commercial repercussion that they had for it, mainly due to the song that gives the album's title and main single job.
With a superb production by Todd Rundgren, the group manages to perfectly combine the melody with the energy and rawness of the best American hard rock.
Don Brewer's contributions in terms of composition and his vocal performance were decisive for the drastic change in sound and the enormous success achieved.
Another major innovation was the inclusion of Craig Frost on keyboards, which was also revitalizing and exquisite, filling in the gaps that were left empty on previous albums.
They even dare to approach progressive rock in a certain way with the magnificent Creepin ', a quality exercise and sublime performance.
Throughout the album the band functions as a perfect oiled machine, leaving us an absolute masterpiece of hard rock.
