Asia-Asia (1982)

Thanks to the perseverance of John Kalonder and David Geffen who had in mind to constitute a superband in the late 70s, they got to unite Steve Howe and John Wetton, along with Carl Palmer and Geoff Downes and thus Asia would be born.
A group that would define their music between progressive rock and pop from the 80s.
Their first album is one of the fundamental albums of the decade, these four great musicians hit the bull's eye to shock the rock world with superb work.
With epic synth sounds, a powerful guitar, Wetton's deep, warm voice, and Palmer's punchy and precise drums, this immortal gem was made.
The songs are not far behind and it shows a perfect balance between commercial and spectacular, as well as an addictive sound.
Only the two singles on the album, Heat of the Moment and Only Time Will Tell, taught us the clarity with which it was the basis of the band's personal style.
Forcefulness, sensitivity, power and virtuosity along with perfect melodies were synonymous with durability.
