If there was ever a band that would approach the sound offered by Led Zeppelin, (saving the distances as of course) those were Kingdom Come, a band formed by the German vocalist-guitarist based in the United States, Lenny Wolf.
Kingdom Come was the continuation of another formidable band led by Wolf himself called Stone Fury.
His self-titled album came to us in 1988, was recorded in Vancouver, Canada and was produced by Bob Rock. The band on this first album perfectly demonstrates their Led Zeppelin influences, and so much, that those who did not know the band, hearing their songs on the American FMs believed that Led Zeppelin had reunited and had a new album. That brought them airs of greatness, which caused some problems with the American press, and made Gary Moore and Ozzy Osbourne dedicate the song Led Clones to them to attack them.
However, the controversy caused did not prevent Kingdom come from having a privileged place on the Monsters of Rock tour, who were accompanied by Metallica, Scorpions and at the head, Van Halen. On other dates, they accompanied Bon jovi and Ratt on a Tour of Japan and toured England and Europe, opening the Magnum show.
The album has an air for Led Zeppelin, and apart from the aforementioned highlights such as Now (forever after), Shout it out and Living out of touch.
