Badger-One Live Badger (1973)

Badger was an ephemeral band founded by one of Yes's founders, Tony Kaye who released two albums in the early 1970s.
History tells us that Tony Kaye was fired from Yes shortly after the band's first North American tour in 1970. Differences from the rest of the group had increased with Steve Howe's entry. The relay as you all know was Rick Wakeman.
After his adventure with Peter Banks in "Flash", Tony Kaye forms the band together with bassist and vocalist David Foster who had coincided with Jon Anderson in "The Warriors" and later collaborated on some Yes songs. As a drummer we have Roy Dike (Ashton, Gardner and Dyke) and as guitarist Brian Parrish (Parrish & Gurvitz). Their first album, "One Live Badger", was released in 1973 and for their second LP, "White Lady" (1974), the band had been restructured with the entry of bassist Kim Gardner, guitarist Paul Pilnick (Stealers Wheel) and singer Jackie Lomax.

Their first recording was recorded live at London's Rainbow Theater in 1972. The group was supporting Yes precisely and the record company they shared was recording what would later be the triple album "Yessongs". Co-produced by Jon Anderson and Geoffrey Haslam, and with cover by Roger Dean. As for his music we have progressive rock mixing sounds from Yes, Manfred Mann and even Barclay James Harvest. Great work by Tony Kaye, especially with Hammond, and guitarist Brian Parrish.
