Andy Summers-"The Golden Wire" (1989)

After the dissolution of The Police in 1983, Andy Summers would pursue a fruitful and interesting solo career, debuting in 1987 with his first album "XYZ".
Shortly after this first job, the guitarist got a contract with the new age and fusion music label "Private Music" with which he would publish the next four albums.
"The Golden Wire" was the second published under this label (the first had been "Mysterious Barricades"), and the third chronologically of his career.
In "The Golden Wire" Andy Summers gets his greatest composition creativity, with a cerebral, slow, atmospheric and ambient album, which has a set of great temperamental compositions executed in a masterly way
Sinuous solos like the ones we can hear in "A Place Of Time" and "Earthly Pleasures", energetic songs "A Thousand Stones", spectral and mysterious "Imagine You" or exotic ones like "Piya Tose" show the unique talent of one of the most peculiar guitarists of pop and rock of the last decades of the 20th century.
