The Storm-"The Storm" (1991)

One of the quintessential anthological albums of the melodic rock genre and at the same time one of the few of a band that debuted and became an unprecedented milestone.
The Storm was a super gang formed in the early nineties by three components of Journey; Gregg Rolie, Ross Valory and Steve Smith, also completed the band by former lead singer 707, Kevin Chalfant and guitarist Josh Ramos.
In 1991 they released their first album generically titled "The Storm" under the Interscope label, an absolutely superb work, achieving with this debut the highest levels on the AOR and rock music charts.
An album full of fury, great class melodies and great elegance, that with only two albums (this and the later "Eye of the Storm" published in 1995) were placed at the height of the greatest such as Survivor, Boston, Foreigner or Journey themselves.
With an initial "You Keep me Waiting" where it exudes elegance and an irresistible melody, the spectacular and energetic "You´re Gonna Miss Me", the superb halftime "Call Me", the hit from the album and wonderful ballad "Show Me The Way", the fantastic "Take Me Away" or the amazing and perfect "Can´t Live Without Love", make this album an unmitigated masterpiece of melodic rock.
