The Moody Blues-"The Other Side Of Life" (1986)

In the mid-eighties The Moody Blues came from making two good albums such as "Long Distance Voyager" (1981) and "The Present" (1983), so when they released "The Other Side of Life", they had been inactive for almost three years.
If already in the two previous albums the keyboardist Patrick Moraz had had a vital importance in the final sound of both albums, in this one his contribution is already essential with the intensive use of keyboards which is overwhelming, against Ray Thomas and his sound of flute lose prominence in the instrumental part and also in the compositions that are still in the hands of the Hayward / Lodge duo.
This would undoubtedly be the last of the great albums of The Moody Blues, with an extraordinary single such as "Your Wildest Dreams" in addition to a repertoire that they continued to maintain as one of the great bands and a very high level worthy of their past.
Superb songs like the beautiful "It May Be a Fire", the melodic and spectacular "The Other Side Of Life" or the powerful "Rock 'n' roll Over You" showed that they were in top form making excellent music and still maintaining the quality ribbon at a very decent level.
