Damn Yankees-"Damn Yankees" (1990)

At the end of the eighties three rock legends such as Jack Blades (Night Ranger), Tommy Shaw (Styx) and Ted Nugent decided to join forces and found a band called Damn Yankees, with which they would publish two great very successful albums. within hard rock.
To complete the band they had the drummer Michael Cartellone, who until then was practically unknown, to later end up belonging to the southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd in addition to collaborating with Peter Frampton, Joe Lynn Turner or Shaw Blades among others.
Damn Yankees offered a great hard rock sound in both of their albums, with excellent melodic vocals from Shaw and Blades that were the perfect counterpoint to Nugent's visceral hard rock.
Their first album was released in 1990 and contained good melodic hard rock songs like "Coming of age", "Bad Reputation", "Runaway" or the great ballad "High Enough".
But there are also explosive moments such as with the song that gives the band its name or "Mystified", "Rock City" or "Pile Driver" and epic hard rock exercises such as the fantastic "Come Again" that close an album of great height that managed to obtain several platinum records and that would take them on a tremendous world tour with Bad Company, Jackyl and Poison.
