The Hollies-"Greatest Hits" (1973)

Although the golden age of The Hollies took shape in just five years, this band is one of the greatest in history, if it had not existed, pop would not be as we know it today.
Eclipsed over the years by the greats of the British invasion sound (Beatles, Rollings, Kinks or The Who), The Hollies have a privileged place in the history of pop and rock.
However, this mythical band had the handicap that they never achieved albums at their height, quite the opposite would happen with their singles, making their sense of pop lyricism reach levels difficult to match.
Throughout their career this band managed to place more than 30 songs on the UK Singles Chart and 22 on the Billboard Hot 100, all of them magnificent songs that led to a kind of "Hollesmania" in the 60s and 70s.
Guided by the genius Graham Gouldman, later 10CC founder Allan Clarke and Graham Nash, until the latter left to form CSN&Y, the band released an impressive series of singles such as "Bus Stop", "Carrie Anne", "Stop, Stop, Stop", "Look Through Any Window", "Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress", "He Ain´t Heavy, He´s My Brother", "Just One Look", "King Midas In Reverse" "The Air That i Breathe" or "On a Carousel"
All of them appear on numerous compilation albums that have been released in the last four decades.
