Glenn Frey-Strange Weather (1992)

Glenn Frey was always very selective in releasing solo albums, with only five in 25 years. Not counting several compilations and a live album, he followed in the footsteps of almost all the former members of The Eagles, all of whom were not inclined to release much in their solo careers. In 1992, Frey released his fourth album, "Strange Weather", which, despite its enormous quality, went somewhat unnoticed by the general public. However, it contains many of the best moments of his career outside of his main band, such as the melodic "Part Of Me, Part Of You", which would gain prominence after being included on the soundtrack of "Thelma & Louise". With "Long Hot Summer", Frey demonstrated his eclectic style with a rhythmic and danceable track, or with the irresistible blues rock "He Took Advantage (Blues for Ronald Reagan)", while in "River of Dreams" his melancholic side came out where he demonstrates his facet as a creator of great songs, as well as in the addictive "I've Got Mine" and "Brave New World".
