Phil Collins-No Jacket Required (1985)

In the mid 80's Phil Collins was immersed in different projects, including the tour of the Genesis album "Genesis", his collaboration on different soundtracks such as "Against All Odds" or in the recording of his third album "No Jacket. Required".
This album, published in 1985, is the definitive accolade to his solo career, not only because of the album's compositions, but also because of his charismatic voice and his self-confidence on stage (already demonstrated as the frontman of Genesis).
Here Collins shows mastery of the facets of pop, from the brilliant ballads like "One More Night", to the melodic and powerful songs like "Sussudio" or "Don´t Lose My Number".
The album also contains other stellar moments with the exotic "Long Long Way to Go", the frenzied "Only You Know and I Know" or the emotional epic "Take me Home".
The album was a runaway success with millions of records sold and in part this success was what would help two years later Genesis' album "Invisible Touch" have an unprecedented success similar to this one.
