Iron Maiden-Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son (1988)

If with "Somewhere In Time" (1986) the Iron Maiden had begun to add synthesizers and progressive elements, and at the same time be considered by their fans as a step back in their career, (something that over time has been shown to be an unfair assessment given the potential of that tremendous album), with the following album "Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son" the group enters fully into progressive heavy in a definitive way.
A concept album based on the legends of Eastern Europe where the band wisely mixes heavy metal and the most epic progressive rock, with synthesizers giving a lot of versatility to their music, but with the usual forcefulness of the group.
Long instrumental developments full of melody are the constant of an album that became one of his best works and the favorite of his many of his fans.
