Dave Greenslade-The Pentateuch of The Cosmogony (1979)

Dave Greenslade is one of the most famous keyboardists in rock music, leader of such emblematic bands as Colosseum and Greenslade, where he gave free rein to his peculiar vision of progressive rock and jazz rock and with whom he would publish about a dozen of albums of great interest.
His solo career began just after finishing his adventure with Greenslade and his 1975 album "Time and Tide", with his first album "Cactus Choir" a year later.
For his next album "The Pentateuch of the Cosmogony" (1979), the keyboard player took a risk in a monumental work of more than 80 minutes that with the passing of time has become a cult album as well as an influence on later sounds such as new age or ambient music.
With a luxurious presentation of cover and design by Patrick Woodroffe, with illustrations and an extensive booklet, Dave plays all kinds of keyboards, which together with the collaboration of Phil Collins on drums achieves a very electronic sound with a lot of percussion with a music of avant-garde that however for many fans would be somewhat pompous and the work of an egotistical musician.
