Weather Report-Heavy Weather (1977)

With "Heavy Weather", the Weather Report was no longer able to continue to be on the cusp of jazz rock worldwide, but also to be a band more accessible to the public furthest from the jazz scene.
Here Joe Zawinul along with Wayne Shorter join one of the most imaginative and best bassists in history such as Jaco Pastorius.
All of them together create a jazz of pure magic and fused not only jazz with rock, but also with different world music such as African, Oriental or Brazilian.
Highlighting a single album from the impeccable record label of the Weather Report is practically impossible, but it is perhaps this album that best shows the talent of this wonderful jazz-rock band.
To start with his now mythical celebratory theme "Birdland" and his opening riff, as popular and well-known as "Smoke on the Water" in rock, the vibrant "Teen Town", the dancer "Palladium" or the sensitive "Remark You Made ". An absolute masterpiece that was also his most successful album.
